However, it was after the match when Zack Sabre seemingly accepted the challenge issued by AEW superstar, Bryan Danielson. Sabre boasted his win against Takagi and subtly ended his statement that he wants Danielson.
“When I’m on form, no one can touch me. Nobody has got the tekkers. Well, I’ll leave it there for now. So in summary, that’s the Japanese Dragon done, I wonder where the American Dragon is? I wonder where that ******** is?” Zack said.
Bryan Danielson wants to claim what’s rightfully his
Zack’s comments make much more sense if we connect it to Bryan’s challenge when he openly confessed that he wants to face Zack Sabre Jr. in the UK.
Bryan Danielson recently appeared on Barstool Rasslin’ podcast, where he removed any doubts regarding his next opponent.
Speaking on the podcast, Danielson confessed he has been watching Zack’s performance because he won the Wrestling Observer’s Best Technical Wrestler Award every year from 2014 to 2020.
However, Danielson added this award is named after him and he doesn’t like to be the number two in an award that was meant to be his.

“Zack Sabre Jr has won the award seven years in a row. Some of those years, I was in retirement. Even since I’ve come back, he’s still winning the Best Technical Wrestler Award that’s named after me! I’m number two in my own award.”
“Now, I want a match with him in England. Somehow, Zack Sabre Jr, if that is his real name, is winning the Bryan Danielson award. That’s something I really look forward to.” Danielson said.

Bryan Danielson himself won the award every year from 2005 to 2013, before he retired because of injuries. While many thought a fight between Danielson and Sabre Jr. is highly unlikely to happen. Now, with the flexible deal between AEW and NJPW, the fans can finally see it happening.
