Chris Jericho has been one of the most influential pro-wrestlers in history, marking his name on the Greatest of All Time list of professional wrestling. As he ages, fans look to the younger generations for his successor.
Those fans probably won’t have to look far because the next generation may just be Jericho’s son himself. In a recent post on Instagram, Y2J celebrated his son’s victory in his college wrestling match.

Ash, Jericho’s son, didn’t win one but two matches, even achieving a pinfall victory. The former AEW Champion revealed how proud he was and for a good cause.
There was also a typical Jericho cheap shot in there as Y2J jokingly warned WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle that his son was coming for him.

Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho have a respectful relationship with each other, and both unsurprisingly still compete in the ring. Although Angle is currently on a hiatus, he can return to the ring anytime he pleases.
Chris Jericho is back to his mic masterclass in AEW, leading the promotion to multiple viewership ratings wins over WWE NXT. His promos have been engaging and his work in the company is unparalleled.
Jericho will soon have to pass the torch on to the ‘next Y2J’, but a talent like his is hard to come by. Maybe his son is a chip off the old block.
Kurt Angle was released by WWE in April last year as part of the cut-offs due to financial complications. This was brought about by the loss of revenue due to the pandemic.

Angle is yet to make his return to the ring and was supposed to make an appearance for Raw Legends Night. However, he didn’t show up due to some personal commitments.

Perhaps Kurt Angle can face Jericho’s son sometime in the near future. It’s a dream match waiting to happen even if it is only in Chris Jericho’s mind.
