Shaq looked like an absolutely crazy giant who’d wreck anyone standing in his path. He made quick work of Austin Gunn of The Nightmare Family. He even brutalized Cody Rhodes with a picture-perfect powerbomb.

Shaq delivered the powerbomb so neatly that the entire wrestling world began singing his praises. But it was not just the right technique he used for the powerbomb, but also a gesture that won millions of hearts.

The NBA Legend had Cody set for the powerbomb. He did the Brodie Lee aka Luke Harper signature gesture and then delivered the vicious move.

Not everyone realized this little tribute the big man paid, but social media is enough for the word to spread like wildfire. Either way, it was a gracious gesture, and it’s great to see Brodie Lee’s legacy thriving in the wrestling world.

Whose idea was the Brodie Lee tribute?

As of now, we can only guess who came up with the idea to pay tribute to Brodie Lee. There can be two possibilities – one, Shaq himself came up with the idea to honor another giant or two, Cody Rhodes came up with this idea. After all, Cody and Brodie shared a very good relationship.

There is another possibility here. The Big Show aka Paul Wight could also be responsible for this little spot in the middle. Big Show and Brodie Lee had a good rapport during their time in WWE, and Show’s wrestling IQ is next level. It is very well possible that he may have suggested the move.
