WATCH: AEW Superstar Pays Special Tribute to Chris Jericho

AEW Dynamite is planning to have a night dedicated to Chris Jericho which will honor the thirty years of the relentless contribution he has made to the business.

As a tribute to the AEW Star, Superstars from the company have compiled a video where they try to remember the words to Fozzy’s Judas.

Hilariously enough, not all of them can remember the lyrics properly. Nevertheless, it’s a video that conveys the message of respect.

There are many examples of Chris Jericho’s amazing contributions to the industry. However, one that stands out is his vouching for a young John Cena.

During an interview, he revealed that John Cena’s first PPV match was against him. Cena wasn’t supposed to emerge victorious as per the initial plan. However, Jericho saw a spark in Cena and convinced Vince McMahon for a different finish.

“I remember I called Vince the night before the show and basically told him that me winning was the wrong finish. It should be John. Vince didn’t see it. I said, I’m telling you this guy has got something. Vince was like, ‘Fine. Put him over if you want.’ And that was kind of the beginning with John.”

Recently, he believed that Orange Cassidy could make it to the top. As a result, he indulged in the very first Mimosa Mayhem with him where Cassidy went over.

Not every star in the business can voluntarily step aside to make room for another. This is a rare quality that Jericho possesses.

Chris Jericho will team up with Jake Hager on Dynamite

The upcoming AEW Dynamite will be a rather spectacular show. The TNT Championship will be put on the line again for a rematch.

On the other hand, Chris Jericho will be a part of the action and will be joined by Jake Hager. Together, the stars will take on Luther and Serpentico, together known as the Chaos Project. As of now, they remain undefeated on AEW Dark.
