From recruiting former WWE stars to creating working relationships with other promotions, Tony Khan has a variety of ways to expand AEW’s reach. The CEO of the Jacksonville wrestling outfit has expressed his desire in signing another former WWE superstar: Zelina Vega.

WWE released Thea Trinidad, more popularly remembered as Zelina Vega, in 2020. The superstar/manager tweeted to support unionization and flouted the company’s third-party policy, which led to her firing. AEW wanting to get Vega onboard is good news for both parties.
On the Wrestling Observer Radio, Tony Khan claimed he would look into Thea Trinidad’s whereabouts after Revolution. Khan said, “When we get through this (Women’s title eliminator tournament) and through (AEW Revolution), I would be interested to see where she’s at.” (H/T Wrestlinginc)
The former WWE superstar would make an excellent addition to the AEW women’s division. AEW’s women have not had a wonderful run in the company, which is mostly because of the lack of depth in the roster.
With the Women’s Title tournament, AEW has brought Joshi pro-wrestlers to a more mainstream audience and bolstered their division.

Before the February 17 edition of AEW Dynamite, Trinidad posted a tweet that hinted at a possible AEW debut. Although she didn’t show up, it is refreshing to hear Tony Khan confirm his interest in signing her.

On the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer claimed Vince McMahon has lost interest in Andrade. He said, “Vince does not see anything in Aleister Black, or Andrade, or any of those guys that when Heyman lost his position and I said the guys that are f**ked.”
Andrade is a fantastic talent and has an excellent set of matches under his belt. His NXT belters against Johnny Gargano, Aleister Black, Drew McIntyre, and his main roster classics against Rey Mysterio prove his mettle. Vince McMahon obviously prefers Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Bobby Lashley, and other ‘Braun-y’ superstars chasing the WWE Championship.
If Andrade wishes, he can leave the WWE and his fiancee Charlotte behind and come to AEW. He can reunite with his former manager/business partner and put on some excellent matches against the likes of Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, and of course Rey Fenix.
