AEW has the perfect blend of pro-wrestling veterans and young talent. The best part is AEW uses their veterans and new stars in a capacity where it benefits both parties involved. One such veteran putting over young talent without losing his credibility is Chris Jericho.

We’ve seen ‘Le Champion’ put over the likes of Orange Cassidy, Jungle Boy, and a lot more young wrestlers in the past. And now, his current feud with MJF and The Pinnacle is to make the ‘Salt of the Earth’ the next big heel. The best part is it’s progressing smoothly and working wonderfully!

Chris Jericho will have to go through Shawn Spears first in the Gauntlet Match on AEW Dynamite

This week during AEW Dynamite: Fyter Fest Night 1, Chris Jericho gave his thoughts on the unusual challenge he accepted from MJF. He calls them the ‘Five Labors of Jericho,’ and says it’s a very clever move, but it doesn’t surprise him. After all, MJF is a very learned man.

Jericho added it was smart of MJF to mention Greek mythology to get Jericho to accept. However, he doesn’t care who is put against him in the gauntlet match because he will go through them all to get his hands on MJF.

Chris Jericho got absolutely pumped and said if MJF wants to talk Greek mythology, then he’s the perfect guy for it. Why? Because he is the God of Thunder, the God of War in AEW!

Just as Jericho said this, Shawn Spears broke into his locker room and attacked Jericho with a chair. Spears then held Jericho by the head as MJF came in, sat down, and revealed his first opponent in the gauntlet match.
