AEW TNT champion, Miro defended his title against Lee Johnson in dominant fashion on this week’s AEW Dynamite: Homecoming from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida.

Ever since Miro got his hands on the TNT title, he just can’t seem to do anything wrong inside the squared circle. With his massive build and his in-ring skills; he might just hold the title longer than we expect.

In a recent interview with Austin Lane of ESPN690 and Action Sports Jax, Lane asked Miro that why he changed the design of the TNT Championship to which he replied that he made it to honor his hometown in Bulgaria and how much it means to him.

He further added that he didn’t want the “filthy” title which Darby Allin was carrying around during his tenure with the TNT Championship, saying that he needed a new fresh look for the belt.

“I wanna make it mine; my own. This is the logo, my hometown, Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Which is the sixth oldest living city in Bulgaria, and I wanted to honor that. I came from that. I was born there; I love my hometown. But also I didn’t want the filthy title that Darby Allin had, and I didn’t want none of that stuff. I wanted my own title, I wanted to be fresh, clean. It’s a present for me because I am the redeemer, I am God’s favorite champion.”

Many believed that this title match would be another squash match on Miro’s list. As it turned out it was anything but a squash match. Both the wrestlers showcased their ability to involve a capacity crowd in their matches.

As soon as the bell rang, Lee rushed towards Miro hoping to plant a running move but was overpowered by ‘The Redeemer’. Miro then started dishing out attacks in the corner and put him to the mat with an uppercut.

By far, Miro has been the most dominant TNT Champion on the AEW roster and nobody seems to be able to stop him. Who do you think should challenge Miro for his title?
