Kenny Omega is a frontrunner for the Wrestler of the Year award. The Best Bout Machine has had a phenomenal 2021, putting on classics in AEW and clinching the IMPACT World Championship. On last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Omega walked out to cut a promo on his incredible AEW Championship reign. Having beaten Jungle Boy in a fizzing match, the Best Bout Machine wanted his moment in the sun. However, he walked out with a little surprise plastered all over his face.

Similar to the Young Bucks’ facial hair, Omega sported a beard too, but he resembled a former WWE Champion. If you look closely, you can actually see the similarities between Kenny’s beard and Triple H’s beard from 2006. Paying tribute to both Harley Race and Lemmy Kilmister, the Game sported a bizarre look which the fans choose not the remember.

On Twitter, Omega finally decided to respond to a fan who commented on his new look. The AEW World Champion claimed he’d forgotten the 2006 phase of Triple H‘s career, and that his look didn’t really have anything to do with him. However, this didn’t stop the internet from trolling Kenny.

Irrespective of the look, Omega has a fun couple of weeks ahead of him. On July 17th, he defends the IMPACT World Championship against Sami Callihan at Slammiversary. Aside from his regular matches in AEW, Omega has a date with Andrade El Idolo in August for the AAA Mega Championship.

Despite the upcoming challenges for Kenny Omega, his toughest challenge might come in the form of a friend. And not just any friend; the man who held the AEW Tag Team Championships with him. Kenny Omega’s next AEW Title challenge could come from Hangman Adam Page.

At Double or Nothing, Page picked up a huge win over the #2 ranked Brian Cage which shot him to the top of the ranks. He stands alone, higher than Cage, Cody Rhodes, Darby Allin and even former champion Jon Moxley.

Flipping out upon hearing this, Omega claimed Hangman doesn’t have the guts to step into the ring with him. Is Omega’s claim true, or will we see crown the cowboy as AEW Champion?
