Matt Hardy had suffered a head injury in his match against Sammy Guevara at AEW All Out. On top of that, he suffered a knee injury on the latest episode of AEW Dynamite.  However, Chris Jericho had released a statement claiming that Hardy wasn’t hurt at all. Following his knee injury, Jericho passed another snide comment.

Jericho mocked Matt Hardy, saying that he was running out of luck.

Even though Jericho mocked him, Hardy’s fans were of the opinion that Hardy’s injuries were actually grave. It went to such a point that his fans himself wanted him to retire so that he doesn’t suffer more.

On the other hand, Matt Hardy released a statement saying that he will take some time off and get himself back on track. Once he heals, he will get back in the ring to move his career forward.

After Jericho’s vicious barbs, Hardy decided to return the favor.

He claimed that even though the two seldom looked eye to eye, he still harbored respect for his long-time colleague. Unfortunately, following this, he will not have the same rapport with Chris Jericho.

“I’ve had a love/hate relationship with @IAmJericho over our careers, but I’ve lost all respect for him this year.”

Will AEW create a storyline involving Chris Jericho and Matt Hardy?

Jericho and Hardy are two seasoned competitors. Even if they might not be in the best in-ring shape now, they are still two of the best in-ring storytellers.

Let’s not forget that both pro-wrestlers continue to produce fantastic work every passing week on AEW television.
