The wrestling world was shocked last week as Sting took his first bump in seven years! ‘The Icon’ found himself at the receiving end of a powerbomb from Brian Cage in Darby Allin’s absence. However, this week, Sting and Allin turned the tables in their favor.

Sting attacks Team Taz, Darby Allin comes down a zipline!

AEW promoted this week’s episode of Dynamite with a feature of Sting looking out for revenge, and he literally did! Brian Cage and Ricky Starks won their tag team match against the Varsity Blondes, but the lights immediately went out.

The titantron showed visuals of Sting riding a black SUV through arid land with a body bag tied to his back. When the body bag opened, it revealed a laughing Darby Allin.

The WCW Legend then made his way to the ring with a similar body bag. He stood at the entrance ramp and opened the body bag only to reveal Taz’s son, Hook, being stuffed into it.

Then, Sting pointed high in the rafters as Darby Allin channeled his inner Shawn Michaels, ziplining straight to the ring.

Allin quickly attacked Starks and Cage with his skateboard. Meanwhile, Sting got in the ring and joined the attack. He set his eyes on Brian Cage, while Taz checked on his son on the entrance stage.

The TNT Champion took out Starks, while Sting annihilated Cage with a Stinger Splash, followed by a Scorpion Death Drop, making a huge statement ahead of their Street Fight at AEW Revolution on March 7.

Tony Khan says ‘The Icon’ is medically cleared to wrestle

“He’s been cleared, he’s been fully cleared. He’s been training with Darby and sparring partners and he’s been fully cleared to wrestle.” Tony continued, “Sting’s cleared to wrestle, and he wants to wrestle. This is how he wanted to end his wrestling career in-ring. Come in and go out the way he always wanted to go out, with great matches.”

Well, it’s great to know that Stinger is cleared medically. He may be 61-years old, but the passion and the energy he brings to AEW is unlike any other. It feels good to see Sting write the end of his wrestling journey.
