Iconic rapper and WWE Hall of Famer, Snoop Dogg, appeared with AEW Superstar Cody Rhodes at the AEW New Year’s Smash on Dynamite. For the first time on television, Snoop Dogg actually took part in a match.
Snoop accompanied Rhodes into the ring who now had a remixed version of his theme, thanks to his rapper friend. For the first time, Rhodes faced Matt Sydal. While Rhodes easily picked up the victory with two Cross Rhodes, the match was not over yet.
During the match, Rhodes accidentally hit Serpentico while brawling with Sydal at the ringside. After the match, Serpentico and Luther attacked Cody.
