Matt Hardy returned to AEW Dynamite to address his fans with his wife, Rebecca, and new born, Bartholomew (Bartie), by his side. He returned to the ring to give an update about his health but ended up conveying a heartfelt message to his audience.

Hardy suffered a grave injury following his fight with Sammy Guevara at AEW All Out. So, at AEW Dynamite, he returned to apologize to his family and his fans for the nightmare he put them through.

“I am sorry for putting you through that on Saturday night and all the wrestling fans who were so concerned about me, I am sorry for putting you through that as well. You really showed us all how much you care all of the wrestlers and performers who get in this ring night in and night out, and sacrifice and put everything on the line for your entertainment. So, thank you.”

Furthermore, he apologized for the way the match turned out to be. In fact, he expressed relief over the end of his feud with Sammy Guevara. He believes that if it continued any further, one of them would have been seriously injured.

Matt Hardy reveals his plan for the future

Matt Hardy also provided an insight into his future. The ‘Broken One’ wants to heal himself first before returning to the ring. As a matter of fact, his healing process has already begun.

“So now it is time for me to get back to getting healthy. I am going to get healthy, when I am cleared I am going to get back in this ring. Start wrestling matches, start winning matches, I want to get ranked. It is time for Matt Hardy to chase his first AEW Championship.”

It is safe to say that Matt Hardy is not done with pro-wrestling.

While it is great to see the AEW star on his way to recovery, it begs the question – Why did the management believe that Matt Hardy was fit enough to continue the match after the impact?
