However, Bryan addressed three reasons explaining why he joined Tony Khan’s AEW after getting ‘banished’ from WWE SmackDown.
Thank you to the men and women who have worked so hard to make @aew what it is today. I’m still buzzing from last night, and that was only possible because of what you built.

Daniel Bryan explains why he joined AEW
The American Dragon listed three main reasons he joined the thriving AEW. First, Bryan felt he needed to come to AEW because of the talent on its roster, the passionate fans, and his love for professional wrestling.
“One, the incredible talent that’s here in AEW. One of the reasons that makes it so appealing to come to AEW is because of the work these men [pointing to Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy] the last two years. It’s because of the people who have been here since day one, from the people who came here early and believed in AEW. “
In his second reason, Bryan said he was attracted to AEW because of the die-hard fanbase of AEW and the way these fans are carrying the momentum for the company.
“The second reason I came here is because godd*mn you guys are the best fans in the world. So I’ve been hidden in a trailer in the back and I’ve been watching the show and you guys have been great for every single match and as a performer, you have no idea how much that means to us.”

Bryan confessed in his third reason that he never left wrestling. This was obviously a reference to CM Punk, who claimed he left wrestling the day he joined WWE. However, Bryan claimed he loved working for WWE.
“Which brings me to the third reason I’m here. I am a wrestler. I never left wrestling, I took wrestling wherever I went, I said wrestling when I wasn’t supposed to say wrestling and now I am here to godd*mn wrestle!”
