Throughout its long history, professional wrestling has been defined by characters and their gimmicks. A good, well-defined character can make it to the top in the industry and can really make or break a career. When the conversation of the best gimmick arises today, one simply cannot ignore the man from ‘Wherever’, weighing ‘Whatever’, Orange Cassidy.
At AEW Double or Nothing, “Freshly Squeezed” was something continuously chanted during the triple threat showdown between Cassidy, PAC, and defending Champion Kenny Omega. Over the months of the pandemic era, Cassidy has emerged as one of AEW’s most creative characters and has a massive fan backing in the ring.

Orange Cassidy proved the doubters wrong
Many criticized AEW over how they booked the star, but it seems as if he is still a fan favorite judging by the immense response he got on his entrance. The crowd wanted to see him at his very best, and alongside Omega and PAC, he did just that.
Cassidy absolutely nailed every expectation and delivered a spectacle while staying in character. Even though Kenny Omega still managed to hold his title, Cassidy came out looking a hundred times better. He really brought his A-game to Daily’s Place.
