AEW Women’s Champion Dr. Britt Baker successfully defended her title against Nyla Rose on July 21st, 2021 on AEW Dynamite.
However, Baker suffered a fractured wrist even though she managed to retain her title. In a recent tweet, she revealed that she fractured her wrist but she’s not taking any time off either.
This was the first time she defended her title since she won it after defeating Hikaru Shida at AEW Double or Nothing.

Nyla Rose almost won the championship title from Dr. Britt Baker when she executed a power bomb from the top rope but couldn’t successfully pin Baker for the three point count. However, Baker retaliated with a Lockjaw forcing Nyla Rose to tap out.
It’s possible Brit Baker suffered that injury when she took the Death Valley Diver from Nyla Rose.

“I don’t see myself as a female star in AEW or just the face of the women’s division — I see myself as one of the faces of the entire company, and I’ve worked really hard this past year to put myself in that position; To really improve my in-ring skills, to improve my promo work. I think I’ve made myself such an undeniable talent, not just in AEW, but in all of wrestling.”
Moreover, the fact that she isn’t taking a break even though she has a fractured wrist is something that goes with her principles. She revealed not wanting to take time off or miss any segments.
