After his intense confrontation with Kenny Omega at last week’s Dynamite, Christian Cage finally spoke on an AEW platform. Despite not coming out to the ring, Dasha Fuentes interviewed the veteran backstage.

“I’m going to go on a little bit of a rant here, but I promise you I will answer your question. There’s a term in the wrestling business for the type of wrestler that when they get in that ring on a nightly basis no matter the situation, no matter the opponent, they bust their a– more than anybody else on the card.”

“They’re called a workhorse, and if you’ve ever been inside a pro wrestling locker room, then you know. You know my reputation. I mean, Jon Moxley said it himself. He said he thought he knew something about wrestling until he got in the ring with me.

“I make wrestling better, I make wrestlers level up, but I’m not a workhorse, I am the workhorse in professional wrestling. If anybody’s forgotten about that the past seven years I’ve been gone, the second I stepped foot in the ring in AEW, you’re gonna remember pretty damn quick.”

Finally, he claimed he’s in AEW to cement his legacy and to do one thing, “Out. Work. Everyone.”

Last week, the AEW World Champion, Kenny Omega, hijacked Christian Cage’s segment. After being interrupted by Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston, Omega stood alone in the ring with AEW’s newest veteran talent. Omega tried to deck Cage, but he ducked and tried to hit the Killswitch. Omega narrowly escaped.

In his interview with Dasha, the former World Champion claimed, “There’s only one spot that interests me, and it’s currently occupied by AEW World Heavyweight Champion, Kenny Omega.
