The first-ever AEW Dynamite ‘Beach Break’ took place on this week’s Wednesday (02.03.21). The show opened with a rare Tag Team Battle Royale, with the likes of Chris Jericho, MJF, Private Party, Young Bucks, and more.

The match started with the prominent tag teams of AEW entering the ring. The winner of this match would get a tag title shot at the upcoming AEW Revolution.

Interestingly, the AEW Tag Team Champions were also in the match. If they won, they would get the chance to choose their opponent. The IMPACT Tag Team Champions, Good Brothers, were also in attendance, solidifying the AEW-Impact crossover.

The AEW Tag Team Champions, Young Bucks, started things off with two body slams. Dante of the Top Flight became the first elimination of the match.

Chaos ensued as the Tag Teams fought for their chance at the title. Luchasaurus dominated everyone for a while before getting eliminated. Although Jake Hager was eliminated early in the match, the remaining three members of the Inner Circle were doing great so far.

Suddenly, the Good Brothers appeared and pulled down the ropes to eliminate Kassidy of the Private Party. MJF proceeded to toss Nick Jackson out of the ring.

MJF and Chris Jericho won the AEW Tag Team Battle Royale

After the elimination of the Young Bucks, the final contenders came down to MJF, Sammy, Jericho, Jungle Boy, Darius Martin, and Max Caster.

MJF eliminated Jungle Boy before getting eliminated himself. After rapid eliminations, the final three were Jericho, Sammy, and Martin.

Jericho tried to eliminate Martin, but he eliminated Sammy out of nowhere. Martin tried to Springboard onto Jericho; however, the ‘Le Champion‘ hit a Judas Effect, eliminating Martin.

This is a huge achievement for the Inner Circle, especially for Jericho and MJF. After weeks of claiming the ‘official’ Tag Team spot of Inner Circle, the duo finally earned a sure shot title opportunity at AEW Revolution.

However, the question remains – is everything alright between the Inner Circle members? From the moment MJF and Jericho became the ‘official’ team, tensions kept increasing. Interestingly, that has not derailed the group’s success, considering that the Inner Circle recently won their first AEW Award.
