Hours before his appearance on AEW Dynamite, Lance Archer gave some big news to the AEW fans. Archer revealed on his Twitter account that he had tested positive for Coronavirus.
When I returned from our last show, a family member was ill when I got home. I found out later a friend who had taken my family member to the Vet for our Dachshund was COVID positive. While at home, now I’ve also gotten sick tested positive. I feel ok, expect to see me in 2 wks

As explained, a member of his family, who was in touch with him, tested COVID positive. However, he has assured his fans that they can expect to see him in the ring in just 14 days.
Earlier tonight, Lance Archer was scheduled to be in a six-man tag match, where he would team up with Brian Cage and Ricky Starks to face Will Hobbs, Darby Allin, and AEW World Champion Jon Moxley.
After this sudden turn of events, the six-man tag match had to be canceled. However, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley had other things planned as he decided to defend his AEW championship against Eddie Kingston.

Lance Archer gives his views on Jon Moxley’s AEW championship reign
Lance Archer is set to face Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at the AEW anniversary show. In an interview, Archer had praised Jon Moxley’s AEW title reign.
“He’s been on an absolute tear in AEW. He’s not lost, not been pinned, and I plan on absolutely being the first person to pin his ass and take the AEW Championship and become the AEW Champion.”

Archer commended Moxley for carrying the title with great dignity. However, he claimed it is time for a new champion.
“I think he’s done great. I think you can’t take anything away from him or even Jericho before him that carried the AEW Title, but it’s time for a brand new AEW champion, and that’s going to be me.”
