‘Iron’ Mike Tyson made his return to AEW last week and saved long-time nemesis, Chris Jericho, from The Pinnacle’s ambush. This year, Tony Khan scheduled him to be the special guest enforcer for a one-on-one match between Dax Harwood and the ‘Demo God.
Mike Tyson and MJF interact in backstage segment
Ahead of the match between Dax Harwood of The Pinnacle and Chris Jericho, Mike Tyson met The Pinnacle’s leader, MJF, backstage. Tyson was cutting a promo, and that’s when MJF interrupted him.

He heaped praise on Tyson and then talked his way to Tyson turn on Jericho later in the match.
MJF added they say keep your friends close and enemies closer. He persuaded Tyson to turn on Jericho, his long-time rival. But Mike Tyson had no interest in what MJF was saying.
Instead, the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ was just waiting for MJF to make a wrong move so he could pounce on him.
Is @The_MJF trying to gain a competitive advantage for #ThePinnacle, ahead of tonight’s match between @DaxFTR & @IAmJericho with @miketyson as the Special Ringside Enforcer?

MJF gave it his all to persuade Tyson, but ‘Iron‘ seemed unfazed. MJF used the final trick in his bag. He pulled out a blank check and asked Tyson to think hard about it.
Tyson took the check, tore it, and then chewed it out, sending a loud and clear message to MJF and The Pinnacle that he wasn’t a snitch.
It was a fun segment between MJF and Mike Tyson. Maxwell looked like a million bucks as a heel in front of ‘Iron’ Mike, and his heel dynamics shined brightly with Tyson as the babyface.
However, Tyson sounded like a render from the Grand Theft Auto games whenever he spoke. Not that it was bad; it’s just that we’re not used to Tyson cutting promos.

Tyson made sure he kept up to his official status in the match between Jericho and Harwood. Following the match, ‘Iron’ Mike officially joined The Inner Circle as an ancillary member. Now, that’s awesome. We’re excited to see where this heads.
