AEW closed Double or Nothing 2021 with a stellar ‘stadium stampede’ match. After Sammy Guevara picked the win for Inner Circle, the stable celebrated inside the ring at Daily’s Place as the crowd sang along to ‘Judas’ (theme of Chris Jericho).

However, a few more things happened after AEW went off the air. The “Le Champion” and Inner Circle addressed the sold-out crowd at Daily’s Place.

Jericho thanked the crowd and gave a shout-out to all the performers of AEW. Despite losing in the first ‘stadium stampede match’, Jericho agreed the match was a huge success back then, and it is a success now.

Amidst the pandemic, AEW limited its shows to Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. Hence, Jericho did not forget to thank the Jacksonville authorities for letting them stay and have live crowds.

“Every single week that we came here, you guys showed up. Sometimes in bigger numbers than others, but you were always loud!” Jericho said the crowd helped everyone to get over the devastating effects of the pandemic.

“Now that we see the light at the end of the tunnel, you guys are the evidence that we can have fun again!” the crowd roared on as Jericho filled the arena with positivity.

Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara couldn’t get enough of the fans

Inner Circle had a lot at stake as the ‘stadium stampede’ match took place. The stable would have to disband if they lost the match, and this thought made Jericho nervous.

“Because as you know, if we would have lost the match, the Inner Circle would have to disband, and never be together again,” Jericho revealed. However, they are not going down like that!

Jericho then thanked Ortiz, Santana, Jake Hager, and Guevara. Jericho then passed the mic on to Guevara who said, “All I can really say thank you to every single one of you for being there tonight.”

“And I thank my brothers in arms right here” Guevara thanked the stable. “Without them, I’d be nothing. I quit this group once before. But I’m telling you right now, we are going nowhere!”

Jericho took over and thanked the 5,500 odd people. Jericho closed the show as he revealed AEW would be back on Friday at Dailly’s Place.
