Superstar CM Punk made an appearance on tonight’s episode AEW Dynamite. He cut a promo tonight on namely two topics. In the first half, he took the time to address Jon Moxley’s rehabilitation situation.

The crowd cheered on hearing Moxley’s name, and CM Punk had a lot to say about him.

“I’ll spend all my time out here listening to you chant for him right now because it’s important,”

Punk said that he and Jon Moxley have some history, but they aren’t tight or best friends of any sort.

He added that he got the news about the rehabilitation while traveling, and Punk understands the pressures of being in the spotlight.

“I know what it’s like to go, and go, and go, and have to be so tough and better than everyone else. And eventually, you get to a point where you have to take yourself off the hamster wheel, and I’ve been criticized for it,” Punk said.

CM Punk told the crowd that he does not want to criticize Jon Moxley but instead wants to tell everyone that he is proud of the guy. Punk also urged people to get help if they thought they needed to and asked them to reach out to someone.

He ended the Jon Moxley topic by saying that there are times in his career where he wished he asked for help, but he didn’t because he thought asking for it was a sign of weakness.

CM Punk will feud with Eddie Kingston next.

For the second topic, CM Punk addressed Eddie Kingston.

He called out Kingston and talked about The Mad King interrupting him during last week’s Rampage episode, and he hates being interrupted. Punk also said that Eddie is creating an imaginary beef with him over situations that took place years ago.’

 

 

 

As ‘The Best In The World’ took a pause, the crowd started chanting Full Gear. Punk said that a match at Full Gear is an option; he wants Kingston face-to-face this Friday.

“Eddie, if you got the balls, ’cause I got the time,” Punk stated. “I’ll be there in St. Louis, and I’ll be there to accept your apology for interrupting me.”

CM Punk lastly stated that he could not accept the open slot in the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament that was available because he was preoccupied with Kingston. It is now confirmed the two would meet face-to-face on Friday, live from St. Louis.

Most pro-wrestling fans would have preferred to see CM Punk compete in the tournament and fulfill some dream matches.

But, it looks like AEW is sending Punk in a different direction than expected. However, one thing is for sure is that Eddie Kingston vs. CM Punk will blow the roof off.
