AEW scheduled their latest signee, Christian Cage, to cut an in-ring promo tonight on Dynamite. But all plans changed as AEW World Champion Kenny Omega took that time slot. ‘Captain Charisma’ showed up despite the takeover from Kenny Omega to send a loud and clear message.
Christian Cage next in line for the AEW World Championship?
AEW World Champion Kenny Omega came down to the ring with Don Callis and The Good Brothers. He and Callis tried covering up the botched ending at Revolution and then made fun of how Kingston came to Moxley’s save.

The insults were getting out of proportion as Eddie Kingston came out to the ring. He stood in the corner as Don Callis belittled him, followed by Kenny Omega. Sadly, the verbal assault didn’t last long as Kingston smacked Kenny with a punch before being mauled by The Good Brothers.

Jon Moxley came out to Kingston’s save, and the two brawled with The Good Brothers in the stands while Omega stood in the ring. Just as all four men were somewhere in the crowd, Christian Cage made his long-awaited AEW Dynamite debut.
Christian and Omega stood face to face as the crowd cheered on. Omega tried to sneak attack Christian by luring him into a handshake, but the former WWE Superstar had already seen it coming. He countered the sneak and got into a position to hit the Killswitch. Luckily, Callis pulled Omega, saving him from getting planted face-first on the mat.

Omega couldn’t believe Christian outsmarted him and started throwing a fit outside the ring as ‘Captain Charisma’ picked up the AEW World Title laying in the ring. He held on to the title while looking at Omega. This symbolism was enough for one to know Christian Cage will be the next challenger for the AEW World Championship.
Just imagine, how perfect would the world be if Edge and Christian hold the Universal and AEW World Championship simultaneously in the months to come?
