“Hangman” Adam Page put the AEW World Champion on the line against Lance Archer in a Texas Death Match at AEW Dynamite.

Firstly, both of them knew what was at stake, and what they had to do to walk out of the ring as the champion. But, only one of them could be the winner and thus, began the battle for blood.

Both Page and Archer didn’t hold back with anything. Whether it was using a trash can lid to smack Page or Page using a barbed wire to gain advantage, it was watching two men put everything into the match.

It was Lance Archer who started bleeding first when Hangman Page smashed him with the belt. However, it didn’t take long for Archer to bust open The Champion.

In the final moments of the match, Page executed a Buckshot Lariat that sent both of them ringside. However, he managed to return to the ring before the 10-count, and secured the victory.

Adam Cole is the next challenger for the AEW World Championship

Even though it isn’t set in stone, Cole indicated at being the next person who will challenge Adam Page.

After Page won, Cole arrived at the ring and put it on Hangman. Considering he has been indicating that it’s time for him to hold the gold, this could be where the new feud begins.

However, AEW is yet to announce if this is the storyline the company is adopting for the AEW World Championship. If it does happen, this will be Cole’s first title opportunity in AEW.

If Adam Cole agrees to be in a match as violent as Page vs Archer, he’s got quite a bit to prepare for. Some of the AEW matches reached a different level of violence and brutality over the last year. It came to a point where the audience didn’t know what to expect during matches and shows.
