Nearly every wrestler in the first-ever AEW Blood and Guts match bled buckets. The scene resembled a battlefield more and a wrestling ring less. While some enjoy that aesthetic, the sight of wrestlers with their foreheads sliced open might be too graphic.
Fans who want a cleaner version of Blood and Guts can happily tune into NXT’s War Games, but the Pinnacle vs Inner Circle was the epitome of violence in professional wrestling. On his Twitter, former AEW Tag Team Champion and Pinnacle member, Cash Wheeler, proudly displayed his blood-soaked gear.

Everything from his wrestling trunks to his underwear to his Bret Hart-inspired socks, his wrestling boots, and even what look like soccer shin-pads had specks of blood on it.
If the image of MJF on top of the roof wearing a crimson mask doesn’t showcase the level of violence in the match, perhaps Wheeler’s blood-soaked gear will convince you.
With this win, MJF, FTR, Shawn Spears, and Wardlow stand atop the AEW mountain. Will there be anyone who can stop this group?
What’s next for the Inner Circle?
The Inner Circle will not take this one on the chin and stay silent. AEW’s former most dominant faction has to bounce back in a big way or disband.

Guys like Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager, and Santana & Ortiz will benefit from individual runs. As for Jericho, being thrown off the roof of the cage writes him off for a few months.
Sammy Guevara can pick up the pieces and begin a rivalry with MJF in the battle to decide who has the brightest future in AEW. Jake Hager and Wardlow can put on a couple of fights on AEW Dynamite to determine who rises higher in the rankings. As for PnP and FTR, you have tag team dream match you never thought you’d see.

Even in defeat, the Inner Circle is still a relevant group and AEW will reward them with decent storylines and good angles. Unless they bungle this completely, it’s safe to say that the Inner Circle is going to be alright.
