Reports have stated that Chris Jericho will not be working with New Japan Pro Wrestling after former President Harold Meij did not appreciate the deal because of the expenses and cost the promotion had to bear.

Jericho had revealed in other interviews that he still desires to work with the promotion. He believes there is still much to gain from the promotion with matches against names such as Jay White, Minoru Suzuki, Kota Ibushi, and Will Ospreay.

During his time with New Japan Pro Wrestling, Jericho had won the Intercontinental Championship. Furthermore, he faced four of the biggesr names in NJPW’s roster during that time – Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kenny Omega, Kazuchika Okada, and Tetsuya Naito.
