Tony Khan is constantly looking for ways to boost AEW. Reportedly, the company has found another way to ensure everyone continues talking about them.
AEW is bringing back a TNT Special on January 8th. However, the company will not be able to use “Clash of Champions” since WWE owns the rights to that name. Nevertheless, the company will definitely bring the Special event under another name.
It’s unknown exactly what they plan to call it, but the term “Battle of the Belts” is within the options.

The company has signed on several former WWE Superstars such as Adam Cole, Daniel Bryan, Mark Henry, and probably their biggest of the year, CM Punk.
When Punk made his AEW debut, the fans couldn’t stop cheering. He entered a wrestling ring after seven years and it was quite the grand moment for CM Punk’s fan globally.
Apart from signing former Superstars, AEW had produced some interesting storylines as well. One of them that got everyone talking was when the company booked The Pinnacle and The Inner Circle against each other. All the promotions and the matches were top-notch and actually gave the ratings a huge boost.
Moreover, AEW launched a second flagship show, Rampage, this year as well. This show’s direct competitor is WWE SmackDown.
