CM Punk’s AEW debut might be over but the effects of it are still on the rise. The former WWE Champion debuted on AEW Rampage on Friday (8/20) amidst thunderous applause and cheers.
During his promo, Punk said he was back to face Darby Allin and young talents like him. He said AEW All Out on September 5 will be D-Day when Allin and Punk go against each other. The PPV will also take place at the same venue of AEW Rampage – United Centre, Chicago Illinois.
Allin and his mentor, Sting seemingly accepted this challenge as they overlooked Punk’s debut from the rafters. Punk will appear on AEW Dynamite next week to address his status some more.
