In his final match on ‘Labours of Jericho,’ the former AEW World Champion faced MJF. However, Jericho fell short of winning against the ‘Salt of the Earth.’ But Jericho was not done with MJF.
On the last episode of AEW Dynamite, Jericho demanded the last match with MJF. He also revealed that if he lost the match, Jericho would never wrestle in AEW again, shifting to a permanent commentary role.

MJF and Chris Jericho will meet for the third time. Till now, MJF is leading with 2-0. They first met at Full Gear 2020 and then at Blood and Guts this year.
If Jericho loses the match, it would be a good way to transition him onto the commentary scene from full-time wrestling. This would also put MJF on a pedestal as the one who put Jericho into retirement.
