The massive opening bout on AEW Dynamite between Bryan Danielson and Dustin Rhodes, lived up to the hype. However, things didn’t go as planned in the second match of the tournament between Eddie Kingston and Lance Archer. The ‘Murderhawk Monster’ seemed to be in complete control, but then things came crashing down.
The 44-year-old wrestler decided to do a moonsault off the top rope, but he failed to make the connection. Although, this spot could have been a part of the match, which led to Eddie’s win. Definitely, the promotion didn’t intend to have a botched landing knocking Lance out of the match.
Just like that, Lance Archer’s dreams of chasing the world title have been snapped. In this particular instance, the wrestler may have damaged his neck as well as the fall looked absolutely brutal.

Lance Archer provides an update following the conclusion of AEW Dynamite
The botched moonsault became the leading deterrent to Eddie securing a hasty roll-up, which became the finish of the match. With the way the entire match was being paced and how Eddie was getting dominated, it would be fair to assume that the failed moonsault cost him the chance to face Bryan Danielson.
As of this moment, the promotion has not commented on Archer’s condition. However, he himself did put out a statement.
Lance provided an update about this health, following the conclusion of Saturday night’s AEW Dynamite. He pointed out the lack of rotation as the prime reason for his bad landing. Despite executing over a hundred times throughout his career, things just failed to go his way.
Listen. We choose to do this and take our health n lives in our hands every night. I’ve done that move hundreds of times over my career. Just under rotated. Coulda been MUCH worse. Thank you to ALL at @AEW for taking AMAZING care of me and protecting me. I’ll BE BACK!

We wish Lance Archer a speedy recovery and hope he returns to action sooner than later. He may have lost the opportunity to win the AEW World Championship this time, but when he does come back, the world champion at the time better be careful.
Will Bryan Danielson get to face Kenny Omega again?
Kenny Omega has been dropping promos against both Dark Order & Hangman Adam Page. However, the longest-reigning AEW champ knows that his feud with Bryan isn’t over at all. He is currently on a hot win streak and his continuous progress in the tournament could put him one step closer to securing a rematch against the world champion.

However, Kenny still has to worry about his bout against the Cowboy Adam Page at Full Gear. If he overlooks the current challenger, then it could knock him out of the title picture.
