Jon Moxley again put up an awesome show on AEW Dynamite. The company celebrated its anniversary show, and it was certainly a jam-packed episode with multiple titles matches, Matt Hardy’s return and a spectacular showing by AEW’s latest mega star, Miro.

However, the main event was definitely the show stealer. Interestingly, things got rough even before the show began. Jon Moxley and Lance Archer attacked each other backstage on multiple occasions.

As a result, the main event became a no DQ match so that the two could vent out all their frustration.

The match got off to a quick start with Moxley delivering the paradigm shift; however, Archer kicked out. During the match, Archer went into the evil mode, setting up two tables at ringside.

Archer brought Moxley to the apron; however, the champ countered and put the challenger through both of them. The match got more extreme as both Superstars traded chair shots to the head with each other.

As the match reached its end, Archer hit Moxley with a DDT. Moxley then hit one-two counters on Archer, pinned him, and retained his championship.

Both superstars gave their all in this match. If one felt that was the end of the night on this wonderful anniversary show, they were wrong.

Jon Moxley gets attacked post-match by Eddie Kingston

Post the match, Moxley was the victim of an attack by Archer. Eddie Kingston, who was at commentary, asked Fenix and Penta to help him. As Archer was taken out of the way, Kingston ordered Penta not to hit Moxley.

Kingston then asked the crowd to give it up for the AEW World Champion. He revealed that Moxley and him knew each other since 2009 and had gone through a lot together.

The praises continued as Kingston applauded Moxley for carrying the company on his back for over a year. He then said that he’s proud of Moxley and raised his hand up.
