What if a fan can walk through the same tunnel as LeBron James or Stephen Curry? Wouldn’t that interest many of those who have millions to spend? In a breakthrough plan, Crypto.com Arena is planning to develop “Tunnel Suites” that can host 12 people. The home of the WNBA’s Sparks, NBA’s Lakers, and NHL’s Kings, the arena is busy round-the-clock. Music concerts and big events are commonplace here.
This plan by the Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) is in line with the renovation of the whole place.

On 21 July, AEG unveiled the plan to set up these luxury suites in the home arena of the Los Angeles Lakers. They are a part of the extensive renovation that is going to cost millions.
The ones who buy these suites will have a private entry. The tunnel, that’s also used by players, is part of the entry. LA is an alluring market and the celebrity-studded sideline seats already see intense attendance.
As per Robert Vincent of the LA Times, these suites are going to “combine front-row seating with luxury suites for a select few who can swing the staggering price of entry”.
Apart from this ambitious plan of “tunnel suites”, the stakeholders also plan to develop terrace suites. While the tunnel suites are going to be hidden from the primary view, terrace suits will be more visible. From the main seating concourse, they are carving these out.
While the tunnel suites hold 12 people, the terrace suites can hold 14. The estimated price of these suites stands at around $60 million. AEG claims it has already sold three terraces and two tunnel suites, generating roughly $300 million in commitments.
The company is right now supervising an intense renovation in the arena and wants to generate millions of revenues to justify its investment that goes over $100 million.
AEG’s interest in Crypto.com Arena follows a turbulent period that could have changed the name game.
Lakers’ home remains Crypto.Com
Crpyto.com paid $700 million to change the name of Staples Center. Staples saw the Kobe Bryant era to Crypto.com Arena, which is a witness to the LeBron James era. However, in June, the name-changer shut down its institutional exchanges in the USA. This led to speculations that it is going to lose the naming rights.

However, the current name is going to stay for now, as the venture somehow manages to remain floating. As of now, the market cap of Crypto.com has gone over the $1.5 billion mark.
Making the Arena a symbol of grandeur coincided with the name change. The bright lights of the LA city will glitter further when the Tunnel Suites and Terrace Suites open sooner rather than later.
