Swiss tennis ace Roger Federer triumphed over arch-rival Rafael Nadal in the Wimbledon 2019 semifinal. With this, he sets up a showdown with World number 1, Novak Djokovic in the final on Sunday.
Roger Federer needed only four sets to dispatch Nadal in a hard-fought contest. The 37-year old took the win with a score of 7-6, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 in three hours. Needless to say, social media was on fire after the Swiss ace booked his berth in the final. The who’s who of the sporting world and even well-known figures outside of sports, banded together to congratulate Roger Federer.
Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic did not need long to brush aside Roberto Bautista Agut. The final score read, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the Serbian’s favour. Novak Djokovic has been on a roll this season, and now, it seems that Federer is the only man who can stop him.

My great friend & GOAT @rogerfederer – the undisputed Master of Wimbledon – produced one of his greatest performances there today. Rafa also played some unbelievable tennis and it takes two to produce a classic. Roger can go all the way, it will be a final for the ages.

Can watch this shot again and again. And ask myself: is Roger Federer for real? A Sachin straight drive, a Jordan clutch shot, a Bolt sprint, and yes, the Roger backhand. When sports is sublime.. https://t.co/ZWd9UbZuFN
