The nine-time Pro Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson is no longer a Seahawk. The star has been acquired by the Denver Broncos in return for a massive haul of draft picks for next season.
The step comes just after Aaron Rodgers made his recommitment with the Green Bay Packers and decided to extend his contract with the team.

The Broncos were initially eying for Rodgers since last year. But fate had something else destined for them. Well, the blockbuster trade happened on Tuesday, where the Seattle Seahawks are set to receive five picks in exchange for the beloved quarterback.

The ESPN insider Adam Schefter revealed this massive trade, and clearly, it’s a pretty lucrative one in recent times. As soon as the news broke out, the fans went crazy about the super deal. The Broncos are hopeful that Wilson will elevate the standards of the side and help them win a Super Bowl title.

No doubt, the Seahawks would have decided with some strategic outlook. The deal came into play after many rounds of negotiations and Wilson’s approval.

The QB has also signed a no-trade clause provision, which gives him the veto power to overrule the contract. However, Wilson made no objections, and it seems that he is ready to begin a new chapter with the Broncos.

It may seem like the Seahawks made a mistake by trading their long-time QB for some players. But they had fulfilled their target picks through this contract. Seahawks are set to receive Defensive lineman Shelby Harris to bolster their rush for a strong player. Additionally, tight end Noah Fant will be joining the side along with four other players on the line.

The NFL fans are clearly enjoying the developments this offseason. What is more exciting is that the Seahawks were able to find their alternative for Rodgers and they succeeded in roping a different veteran shark. With such unexpected deals happening every single day, the upcoming season will see fireworks of stars on the opposite side of their parent franchises.
