Diego Costa has been a catalyst in Chelsea winning two league titles in the last 3 seasons. After having struggled with a lot of players to replace the magnificent Didier Drogba, the former Atletico Madrid striker turned out to be the saviour Chelsea were looking for. Having scored 52 goals in 89 premier league matches, the blues would definitely consider this signing a success despite the shambolic 2015-16 season sandwiched between the two league triumphs. While in him Chelsea can boast of having arguably the best striker in the division, his fallout with Antonio Conte and his repetitive desire of leaving have effectively ended his Chelsea career and sent Chelsea on a hunt to find a new striker.
Manchester United, signing top target Romelu Lukaku, has come as a big blow to Chelsea. Here are few targets Chelsea would be looking at still signing:
1) Alvaro Morata. – The Spanish International is a player Antonio Conte has admired for a long time. In fact it was on his request that Juventus signed him. Though due to the Italian leaving the job days before pre season , the pair never got a chance to work with each other. Another effect of Lukaku joining Manchester United was Morata’s deal with the Red Devils falling through. As Morata looks for a move to get regular minutes and prove his worth being a first choice striker, Stamford Bridge could be the ideal destination. The biggest hurdle remains Real Madrid’s high asking price.

2) Andrea Bellotti – One of the hottest talents in Europe at the moment. Having scored 26 goals in the Serie A last season, the young Italian has caught the attention of Europe. His aggressive game style is pretty similar to that of Diego Costa and Chelsea having there attention on him comes as little surprise.
3) Pierre Emrick Aubameyang- One of the best players in the world and one who has been looking for move away from Borussia Dortmund this summer. The 28 year old’s abilities needs no mentioning and his desire to have one last big adventure could be of great use to Chelsea. Having outscored Robert Lewandowski to win the Bundesliga golden boot last season, the Gabonese would be an ace weapon to have up their sleeves for any team.
4) Sergio Aguero- A shock name to have emerged in Chelsea’s striker pursuit. The Argentinian, in his 6 years at Manchester City has cemented his place as one of the greatest ever strikers to have played in the premier league. But quite evidently he isnt the first name of Pep Guardiola’s team sheet and hence could be looking for a move away to have one final splash at glory in his career and continue to be the main man.

5) Fernando Llorente – Certainly a player Chelsea fans would want to be looking for as a second choice option at the maximum but the Spaniard could be the last resort the blues have to go for if moves for all other options fail. Llorente and Conte quite successfully worked together at Juventus and that explains Conte’s liking for the 32-year old. Having scored 15 goals in a dire Swansea side he is certainly not in the worst part of his career.
