Let alone the all the general speculation concerning David de Gea’s future in Manchester United, despite his phenomenal performances for the Red devils this season, with the club chasing him is arguably the most successful European clubs who are known to swoop world class talents just at the right time and this time is no different. Here is a look at some of the goal keepers that can replace the star keeper in case he leaves the Old Trafford club.

The French national team’s captain arguably is the best replacement considering his stature in world football. With the chances of a top four finish looking slim for Tottenham, there are already speculations surrounding his future at the North London club. With a wealth of premier league experience under his belt, Lloris could turn out to a big buy for United, if and when his services are required.

This Newcastle shot stopper has all credentials required to make a quality keeper. He also gives the added incentive of working under Van Gaal for the Dutch national team and this would make him a good choice given that he understands the Dutchman’s philosophy. There are a few speculations with his future at Newcastle as well and he would be a good buy for the Manchester club as he would be available for a reported 12m itself.

The Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper has been described as a rare talent and at 23 he looks at a right point in his career, where his hunger can rub off and contribute to the success of a world class club like Manchester United. David De Gea came to united too as a young rookie but grew in stature from time to time and Leno could be the next big thing as far as goalkeeping is concerned in world football.

 And lastly there’s Victor Valdes himself, although the former Catalan is yet to make his debut with the main Manchester United team, he has the full potential to be the No. 1 candidate for any top club in the world. Since his free transfer in January this year, he has only watched his Spanish counterpart stand and run his show between the posts and its high time he gets his due in case De Gea is not a Manchester United player next season.
