In WWE, heels are often the “bad guys” in pro wrestling storylines. They are typically opposed by a face (crowd favorite). Some tweeners exhibit heel mannerisms. The term “heel” is most likely is derived from a slang usage of theword that first appeared around 1914, meaning “contemptible person”

Brilliant will be the only one word needed to explain the New Daniel Bryan. What started in a championship match against AJ Styles, where Daniel Bryan captured the WWE championship, soon became the must seething on the show.
The New Daniel Bryan, accompanied by Erick Rowan rejuvenated Smackdown with his epic promos, which would get a massive response from the crowd. Later Daniel Bryan was involved in a feud with Kofi Kingston and gave WWE one of the best stories, that have been told in the recent past with Kofi pinning Bryan to win the WWE championship in a fairy tale ending. Even after that, he made the tag team division great again with Erick Rowan.
The Miz:
The Miz has been one of the most appealing heels in WWE for a meaningful period. His skills on the mic are second to none in WWE, and the A list superstar has a gift to get under the skin of the opponents and the audience with his words. His reign as the intercontinental champion made Smackdown worth watching at a moment when not too many things were going well for WWE. His feud with Dean Ambrose, John Cena, Dolf Ziggler in the recent past were treated to the eyes. However, WWE has made Miz a babyface now.
Kevin Owens:
Without any argument, Kevin Owens is the hottest thing in WWE right now as he is the new “voice of the voiceless”. But not so long ago Kevin Owens made RAW the Kevin Owens’s show with his frenemy Chris Jericho. Together, Kevin and Chris were the main attraction on Monday night RAW for a long time with Kevin as the WWE Universal Champion. And later Kevin Owens betrayed his “best friend” Chris Jericho and started another feud which kept the audience hooked in. So Kevin Owens has to be on this list of best heels in recent memory.
Ronda Rousey :
Ronda Rousey is probably the biggest name in female combat sports. She was a pioneer in UFC with her run as the greatest and most dominant heel in the Women’s division. And her run in WWE was nothing but spectacular. Well, she started with a few bad promos early in her career but she caught up with the rest and gave us the thrilling feud with Becky Lynch that catapulted Becky to another level of stardom. Ronda was a savage on the mic and she didn’t even hesitate to call WWE fake and Becky’s “disarmer” a child’s play.

If you have watched Samoa Joe in Impact Wrestling, then you must be already aware of the talent this man possesses. He with Kevin Owens are two superstars in WWE roster right now who can play the heel character better than anyone. Samoa Joe can play with words brilliantly and can make the feud very personal as he did in his feud with AJ Styles. His feud with Rey Mysterio is another great example. He was entertaining to watch in NXT and he is a draw in the main roaster too. But WWE has to put him in the title picture again since the last time he faced Brock Lesnar for the title, he put on a great show for the WWE universe.
