While Kawhi Leonard was celebrating winning the first-ever Kobe Bryant MVP award, his daughter came up to him for a high-five and asked a cute question that brought a smile to his face.
“Why are you wearing that all the time?” she asked, pointing towards Leonard’s jersey.

Kawhi scored 30 points on Sunday. His performance made him the 2020 NBA All-Star game MVP. As an honour to late Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, the All-Star game MVP award was named after him from this year. Leonard became the first person to win it.
Leonard dedicated the award to Bryant, who passed away last month.

“It means a lot to me. Words can’t even explain,” Leonard said. “I wanna thank Kobe for everything he ’s done for me. All the long talks and workouts, this one is for him.”
The award made another addition to his grand list of accolades in his career so far. At 28, Leonard is already a two-time NBA Champion and a two-time finals MVP.

He has also won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year twice. Sunday’s Kobe Bryant award meant that he achieved a feat that no one apart from Michael Jordan had managed so far. Jordan and Leonard are the only two players now to have won the All Star MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, and the Finals MVP.
