Michael Jordan's star driver betrays Bubba Wallace with an arrogant statement.
NASCAR
The 2023 Cup Series has been a rollercoaster for Bubba Wallace, the No. 23 Toyota driver for Michael Jordan's team. Despite standing in the 16th and final position of the post-season standings, Wallace has yet to secure a victory this season.
Wallace's Struggles
Wallace has faced numerous on-track incidents this season, leading to criticism from the NASCAR community. However, he managed to change his fate and secure the final playoff spot. But without a victory, his ticket to the post-season is uncertain.
Do-or-Die Situation
With just one race left on the calendar, it's a do-or-die situation for Wallace. He holds a 32-point lead over Ty Gibbs and is hoping for a win or for one of the playoff-locked drivers to seize another victory. Further said “Yeah, I will be crazy for sure, a lot of the drivers that are not locked in are capable of winning there. From my side, I am safe for the most part and just try to win as many stage points between here and there.”
In contrast, Wallace's teammate Tyler Reddick is in a safer zone after securing a victory at COTA. This has put him in a stable position in the playoffs.
