 Who is Josh Allen?

Joshua Patrick Allen is the starting quarterback for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted in 2018 as the 7th overall pick in the first round by the Bills. He played college football at Wyoming and even grabbed the bowl game MVP title. His journey on being drafted wasn't an easy one. However, in 2020, Josh Allen had his breakout as he led the Bills to their first division title and playoff victory since 1995.

Born on May 21, 1996, Josh Allen belonged to a prestigious family. He lived on a farm near Firebaugh, California, with his parents Joel and Lavonne Allen. According to sources, the family has been living on a 3000-acre farm since his great-grandfather's time, who had come to America from Sweden in the 1970s. He also has three siblings - one older brother named Jason Allen and two younger sisters Nicala and Makenna Allen.

The Bills' QB attended Firebaugh High School and had many friends. Later, he attended Reedley College, a junior college. An interesting fact about Josh Allen is that he was the first person from Firebaugh to play college football. Following this, he gained entrance into the University of Wyoming, where he dedicated his time to football. At the university, he completed a bachelor's degree in social science.

Josh Allen's personal life brings enormous limelight toward his rumored girlfriend, Hailee Steinfeld. The two were first seen together on May 25, 2023, as the New York Post published the photos of Allen and Steinfeld exiting a black SUV together. On May 29, 2023, a source close to the actress confirmed her relationship with Josh Allen to PEOPLE, stating that they had been "hanging out for a few weeks." The person had even called the two a cute couple, mentioning how things are still new and fun for the couple. On May 31, 2023, the duo enjoyed yet another date in New York, at Sushi By Bou.

The sushi date became viral when the owner of the place, Michael Sinensky, posted a picture of the couple on Facebook. In the image, Allen could be seen with his arm around the singer, in the presence of another couple. Almost a month later, on June 22, another source told PEOPLE that the couple is getting to know each other and they are still dating. August 3 brought out a comment on the relationship from the QB himself. During a podcast episode on Pardon My Take, Allen was asked about his relationship making headlines along with the two seen making out.

The QB sounded exasperated about this and commented, "The fact that anybody cares about that still blows my mind." October 2 witnessed a new step in the relationship of Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld. The actress was seen shopping with the QB's mom, Lavonne. On January 7, Hailee was seen evading questions regarding the relationship. Though on January 29, two of them were seen driving around Laguna Niguel, California, a week after the Bills lost to the Kansas City Chiefs. Concerning her presence at the Bills vs Chiefs clash, the actress was reported to have attended the game. But had conveyed the wish of "preferring not to be seen" during the game.

His contract keeps him with the Bills until 2024 with an option of extending the contract until 2026. He received a signing bonus of $16.5 million, and an average annual salary is $43 million with a workout bonus of $500,000 from 2022 to 2025 and $1 million from 2026 to 2028. The cap hit value and the dead cap value are around $16.37 million and $93.16 million, respectively. Josh Allen's career timeline

Josh Allen played college football for the Wyoming Cowboys (2015-2017). On the back of a successful college career, Josh Allen piqued the interest of several NFL teams ahead of the 2018 NFL draft. At the event, the Buffalo Bills traded up and made Allen their top draft pick of the night. He went 7th overall and became the 3rd quarterback to find a team in 2018. Furthermore, he was picked ahead of future NFL MVP Lamar Jackson. Allen began successful in making the Bills reach the first AFC Conference Championship game since 1993, where they unfortunately lost to the Chiefs. The year 2021 saw Josh Allen putting up another staggering performance, as he led the Bills to their second consecutive AFC East title. In the playoffs, they got kicked out by the Cincinnati Bengals in a rather unexpected manner.
